Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
- You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance to receive a refund minus a 20% service charge.
- You may cancel your reservation up to 24 hours in advance to receive a refund minus a 20% service charge.
- If you cancel within 24 hours, we will refund your order less the reservation fee, when applicable.
- If you contact us 24 hours or more before your original reservation, you can reschedule your reservation with no service charge based on availability.
- Please note that we cannot offer refunds for no-shows.
Communication and Waiting Time
- Our drivers will contact you via SMS and/or phone call when they are 10 minutes away or upon arrival to coordinate any specific pick-up locations, especially at airports. This helps ensure smooth communication and timely pick-ups.
Detailed Policies
No-Show Policy:
- Drivers will send a message when they are 10 minutes away and again upon arrival.
- If there is no response, the driver will wait 5 minutes after arrival and then attempt to call the rider.
- A second call attempt will be made if there is no response after 10 minutes of arrival.
- After 15 minutes without a response, the reservation will be considered a no-show and canceled without a refund.
Waiting Time/Delay Policy:
- Drivers will notify the rider when they are 10 minutes away and upon arrival.
- If the rider responds, the driver will wait up to 15 minutes after the scheduled time without additional charges.
- After the 15-minute grace period, a $0.60 per minute charge will apply until the trip starts.
Airport Pickup-Up Policy:
- We recommend scheduling your ride 45 minutes after your expected arrival time to allow for deplaning and bag collection. This helps avoid extra waiting time costs.
- Our drivers will monitor your flight, communicate from the moment your flight arrives, and coordinate the pick-up location.
- If your flight arrives early, you can contact your driver to start the ride sooner.
Flight Delays/Diverted Policy:
- If your flight is delayed or diverted to another airport, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. We will assist in deciding whether to reschedule, release your driver, or have them wait. Waiting time fees may apply.
- For delays where you notify us, and we have availability, we may offer a 30-minute extension at no extra cost. This is subject to availability and won’t affect other scheduled rides.
- Rescheduling will follow our current cancellation policy.
Special Events/Concerts Policy:
- We adhere to vehicle capacity limits and NY State law requiring all vehicle occupants to wear seatbelts.
- Drop-off pick-up will follow event-designated areas. Please plan accordingly.
- Multipick-up/drop-off points are available upon reservation at an additional cost.
Extra Stops Policy:
- You may add stops to your trip at a fixed price of $15 per stop, provided these stops do not deviate more than 5 miles from the original route. Please plan and book these stops in advance when scheduling your ride. To ensure timely service for all our customers, we cannot accommodate unplanned stops or deviations outside the designated route, as this may impact other scheduled rides.
Liability and Damages
- Schedule A Ride is not liable for circumstances beyond our control, including weather, road conditions, and breakdowns.
- We assume no responsibility for lost or damaged baggage, personal belongings, or items left in the vehicle.
- The rider is financially responsible for any damage to the vehicle caused by them or their party during their trip. Charges will invoiced for payment online.
- $250 fee for carpet or seat damages.
- $250 sanitation fee for vomiting.
- $100 fee for minor incidents such as spilled coffee, drink, or food. - Clean-up fee.
- $400 fee for damages to Tablets, TVs, Cameras, Dashcams, Radios, or any other equipment.
Legal and Conduct Policies:
- Illegal drug use and consumption of alcohol are prohibited by law. Smoking/Vaping is not permitted in any of our vehicles.
- The driver reserves the right to terminate the trip without a refund if there is blatant disregard for rules or laws.
- It is illegal to stand through the sunroof or while the vehicle is moving. The rider is responsible for any fines.
Contact Information
- To cancel, please contact us using one of the options listed on your email, receive mail from our contact page, and provide the following:
- The full name used for the reservation
- The email address for the reservation
- Telephone number used for the reservation
- Your itinerary and its date
- The reason for cancellation (optional, but helps us improve)
- If one or more activities included in a reservation are canceled or if we cannot confirm any part of a reservation for some reason, you will be contacted and have the opportunity to rebook, reschedule, or receive a 100% refund.
Exceptions
- Some events or activities may have exceptions to this cancellation policy. It will be noted on the activity page with your reservation if applicable.
- You grant Lost on Schedulearide the express permission to contact you using the contact information you provide through such means as, but not limited to, via newsletter, email, text, telephone (including mobile), USPS, or other message delivery services.
Holiday Surcharge
- A 20% holiday surcharge will be applied to all trips occurring on federal holidays based on the fare:
- New Year's Eve/Day: December 31st (Eve), January 1st (Day)
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Third Monday of January
- Presidents' Day: Third Monday of February
- Memorial Day: Last Monday of May
- Independence Day (Fourth of July): July 4th
- Labor Day: First Monday of September
- Columbus Day: Second Monday of October
- Veterans Day: November 11th
- Thanksgiving Eve/Day: Fourth Wednesday (Eve) and Thursday (Day) of November
- Christmas Eve/Day: December 24th (Eve), December 25th (Day)
- This surcharge will not apply if a promotional rate is published or advertised.
Waiver & Disclaimer
Schedulearide offers rideshare activity/transportation services to customers, which are provided by separate and independent contractors of private transportation, rideshare, activity/travel services. Schedulearide does not operate, control, or otherwise provide the services of the independent private, rideshare activity/travel contractors. Hence, customer agrees that Schedulearide acts only as agent for the client in acquiring transportation, services and other privileges, or services for the clients’ benefit, and on the express condition that Schedulearide shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, injury, delay, defect, omission or irregularity which may occur or be occasioned, whether by reason of any act, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in or responsible for carrying out any of the arrangements, or otherwise in connection therewith. Further the viewer, visitor, member, subscriber or customer agree that the location for any benefit or delivery of service or product shall start at the state of New York.
Schedulearide shall not be liable for any injuries or any damage to any client or be subject to any claim, demand, injury, or damages, whatsoever, including without limitation, those damages from acts of passive or active negligence on the part of Schedulearide, its officers, employees, agents, or contractors. Client does hereby expressly release and discharge Schedulearide from all such claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action. Client acknowledges that he/she/they/them has carefully read this paragraph and fully understands that this is a waiver and release of liability. In addition the client acknowledges that he/she/they/them has read Schedulearide Terms of Use Policy and all other Terms, Policies and Disclosures of Schedulearide found on this website.
